Solo's Nose Is Out of Control

Solo’s Nose Is Out of Control is a picture book about a six-year-old boy who hates eating vegetables. The book is meant to be fun and silly while stressing the importance of eating vegetables to inner-city students. Solo’s mother has tried everything she could possibly do to get Solo to eat his vegetables, even veggie smoothies and popsicles, but nothing works. Solo comes down with a cold that causes him to sneeze until his nose grows bigger than a cantaloupe, then a watermelon, and then an even bigger watermelon. Eager to shrink his nose back down to size, Solo starts to eat his vegetables and even learns to like them.
